The GLORB ☆☆☆☆☆★★★★★The Glorb looks awesome and I’m really pleased with the hardware side of it. The software though is poor and the instructions are non-existent. I bought this as a smart home device and so far it is anything but smart. I can just about control it with a dedicated app but it doesn’t really do anything sound reactive. Worse though, I cannot find a way to connect it to my smart home, it was advertised as being Hue and HomeKit compatible and if that’s possible it’s very well hidden on the app and instructions. The basic instructions worked, I turned it on and connected it to my phone and can make it show some very pretty animations with the app. Beyond that though it doesn’t do much. With a bit of digging I did find possibly the most complex settings interface I’ve ever seen, supported by literally no instructions at all. So it’s either really basic features or fiendishly complex and undocumented features and nothing in between. I would definitely recommend waiting a few months before buying one of these so the software team can catch up with what was originally promised.

Super cool light effects, lots of variety, love the Glorb and its design - however, good Android functionality is lacking dearly, repeated difficulties to connect properly. 3 stars because it mostly runs on default mode, which is nice but would be much better if there weren't always hassles about connecting to the Glorb and changing the light mode.
